and i've been wrangling with our insurance company over little m's surgery date. we find out more today, but i am so weary from the battle with them, and just ready for a nap in a medical-free zone.
i'd appreciate your prayers and thoughts today as we wait to hear back on whether m will get her cochlear implant surgery later this month, or not.
once i hear i'll have posts aplenty about all sorts of delicious and thrilling topics.
well, and probably mundane topics too, cause that's just how i roll.
you are never mundane! and thanks for the updates - love you all and keeping you in my prayers :)
ReplyDeleteYou've got it, friend. All positive thoughts and hopeful prayers your way...
ReplyDeleteWrangling and waiting is so hard...wish I lived close enough to pop some of my fresh baked cookies on your doorstep. (Sometimes cookies make wrangling and waiting just a teeny weeny bit easier.)
Thinking about you guys and praying that Monrovia can have her surgery soon.
ReplyDeleteHi Siouxzie,
ReplyDeleteI connected here from Rich's blog. Just wanted to say that I'm definitely including you in my prayers. Because of my mom, I definitely know the feeling of dealing with a million (frustrating) medical-related issues. It sounds like you're doing a good job. It's tough, I know. Especially when you have to ask yourself, "How much of a jerk am I supposed to be to this person [at the insurance co.]? Should I be more forceful or nicer? Which will work better?" It sounds like you're able walk this fine line pretty well. Hope things get easier for you.
