{happy wednesday}

around these parts:
 freelance deadlines

mommying
+
still sickhouse (of varying degrees- so over being sick)

(got one of my favorite sorts of deliveries yesterday- a box brimming over with brand new paint!
i was running low on lots of colors, so stocked up)

any brilliant ideas you'd like made into a mother's day or graduation card?

(oh, and on this march 9th, a very happy birthday to my brother jonathan)

  1. that's it, you have inspired me to pull out my gouache and get painting. perhaps even today.

  2. Oooh, Holbein Acryla! Never used it, but I need new gouache (mine is ancient and caked) and I'll take this as a recommendation. I just bought a load of Holbein watercolors a month or so ago, on my mother's recommendation, and I'm loving it. I have a gift certificate for Jerry's, so I think I'll blow it on gouache and maybe a couple tubes of acrylic.

  3. my mothers day card would read, 'dear mom, you have sacrificed so much for me. i will now take care of myself. love your 2 1/2 yr old son.'

    wait no, how about
    'mom you gave up your life to take care of me. i will now take care of you...forever.'

    or maybe
    'mom, you gave me the best things in life: love, provision, care, encouragement, kisses, advice, and other intangibles. so i got you this card.'

    oh i could do this all day
    let's share the proceeds
    my cards will be huge
