the very shortest version of our story

last weekend was the annual benefit to raise funds for m's school, jean weingarten peninsula oral school for the deaf. we were asked to be in the video and tell m's story. they used a couple of minutes of it in the video, so i thought i'd share. the video is 5 minutes long, and was the preface for the auction portion of the evening, so at the very end you'll see it is announcing the auction bidding. it was pretty emotional to share our story (as you see from my tears!) luckily he only included a short excerpt. thought you might want to see for yourselves:

  1. What a great video for the school! I caught a few glimpses of our little friend Brandon, too- Nolan got excited! Monrovia is just too adorable- and I love that Monkey on the Bed poem she does (especially when she does it quietly)! What a wonderful school!

  5. What a great video. I cried when you were explaining when you were told she had profound hearing loss. I remember being told the same thing with my daughter and had very similar emotions. Monrovia speaks so well! I can't wait until Taylor is able to speak that well. Little M is very lucky to have access to such a great school & people who care about her : )

Also, I love the Oakland part, "that's the sound of a shopping cart going down the sidewalk".

We're so glad that you found jwposd!
